LOL My art teacher didn't even know that. He made us color on after we did the markers. It bleached the colors out if you used it in excess.

I was wondering if markers would smear the micron, which was my top worry. I know pencil and markers do NOT mix. (Ffft, I tried.)

you're probably doing what I did and using the blenders wrong lmao... I should post a tutorial on it so it makes more sense, but... pretty much, you touch the blender to the marker you want to use and it sucks up a little bit of the ink. THEN you apply it to the paper, as opposed to having colours already on the paper and then blending over that, becuase I found how shitty that works out. (if you look at my suu picture- the reds on the face were applied with a blender)
anyway, my method is- pencils, then ink with micron, erase pencils, ink over again because erasing always lightens the ink, then colour. try not to touch the blender to the ink (expecially if it's generally fresh), but if you let it dry for a while (like not that long) then the markers shouldn't effect it.

And where did you get those sexy screentone brushes for PS? I've been attempting to think about using PS more, but I couldn't find any free screentone brushes on dA when I looked.

but I use microns to ink, I use 0.3, 0.5 and 0.1 the most, I think lauren uses 0.05 I need to get myself one of those. it depends mostly on the size of your drawing... for benji's headshot (lololol headshot) the smallest I went was 0.3, but for like umm... I can't remember what I submitted recently but I remember using 0.1 on my ichigo keychain.
btw I use tria markers by letraset, they've got the watercolour tip that's extremely useful and come in wayyy more colours than prismas do. I think they're like $6-7 each but I know you can get sets for a lot cheaper (I got a set of 20 or something for like $75 because the case they came in was ripped haha I store all my markers in a giant gum bin best deal ever).
I love the coloring and her story. Especially the lip-synching bit. WHO ACTUALLY NEEDS A VOICE TO BE FAMOUS? Pffft, NO ONE.
Not to sound like a creeper, but what do you use to ink? I managed to convince my mom to buy me some Prismas for my birthday, but I don't know what to outline it with so it won't smear. P:
This is beautiful! I really like the color combos and the expression is captured well! What did you color this with? Was it marker? Great job!
