i think ur definitely improving. referencing when ur unsure is good. Its a lot better when ur pic ends up so different from the original cause it just means u made it ur own :)
Yes,it´s an angle pose (probably also called angel pose huhuhu) .Wonderfull ,the pose really helps the picture to unfold in a nice way .The dress goes and the style you made the face is very good .Great work with those hands,they really starting to take a better shape than usual XD.
