I really love this picture. Our school art teacher says that anime isn't considered art. But he said we can use it in the class, as long as we draw other things than just anime. He's an easy going teacher.
umm .. the upper part of that girl looks quite nice, but u need do work a bit more on the lower part! :)
but never mind, if thats the first time, then I must say u did a great work!
This is great! Yeah, I'm in an ap art class this year, and when we send our portfolios to the college board for a score, they won't accept anime. It doesn't bother me too much, because I didn't start out drawing anime, but I've come to find I really like it, and now I do a lot of anime art in my spare time! I think it should be considered a form of art. Art teachers are crazy anyway. Any piece I turned into my art teacher this year she completely critiqued until there was nothing left of my art. She also said that anime was a style used by amateurs. I totally disagree with that opinion, but hey, let them think they know what they're talking about ! Once again awesome work! Sorry for the unusually long comment!
i don't get why people don't consider anime a form of art. It definitely is. i mean we still have to ink/shade/colour.. and we still use most, if not all the mediums "real artists" use.
but yeah, i get what you mean. I go to an art school [but i'm not in a program.. just in general] and so in general art class the teacher wouldn't really like it when we tried to do anime stuff.
but a lot of my friends and i did it anyways and she couldn't just give us a zero sooo eventually her rules loosened a bit and yeah, now it's available to others as an option and i'm really happy :D
i like how you had her painting in your picture, it's a really cool effect :) good luck with your art teacher.

My art teacher said the same thing, but I proved her wrong! I was the first in my art class to use anime! Now everyone does it!
