I certainly used a reference, as I've never shown intrest in the guitar or any instrument in general. My inspiration for this and the other few pieces was due to the fact that I had just gone and seen Nickelback in concert and thought it was one of the best shows I've seen to date :P
Hardest thing to get is angles and such on the guitar/base in these two works since theres so many angles and such on them, and I wanted the perspective to come out lookin good
Once again, you make an amazing piece. I completely agree with Rae and The 7th. They kinda said it all for me. For the Fender, did you use a reference? That Guitar is amazing. And it plays fantastic. I fiddled with it one time in Sam Ash. xD Your rendition of it looks wonderful. -thumbs up-

i myself wish there were some more 'random' images with characters playing instruments like you have here. u know, then we could work on cool group shots and all that. what can i say? music is awesome! for me, music = life!
The realism you put into your artwork really makes it stand out. The way you portray the figures is refreshing because they are proportioned realistically. Your coloring is great too. Looks like it belongs in the anime!
