I really like your ideas! I would never though of a shark! I'm always looking for pretty fishies XD.
I really like the outfit too! Really different
I have a fan mew club that has resources for making fan mews and I can also help. You can post your idea, WIP mews, good resources and etc. You can join if you want!
It means 'pomegranite'. it's a red fruit with ruby-looking seeds. Zakuro's outfit is purple though because when pomegranite juice gets on your clothes it stains them purple.
One more thing: your mews' outfit color should reflect their food. (I think Pudding's outfit may be referencing banana pudding or something, that's why its yellow...)

her name Umi means ocean and her weapon is a flute that she uses to summon sharks in a tidal wave in her attack called shark mirage.
I guess I should add that to the description now XDD

She has all the requirements of a Mew. Except for possibly her name and weapon. What does her name mean? Is her weapon based off of a musical instrument?

A tip: Mews need to have food names. It has to be something you can eat.

The anatomy and tail are alright, despite what you mentioned in the last few sentences. Looking over this whole work, I give it a 9/10!
