Definitely! As soon as the Con is over and we have some good pictures (I would take ones at my birthday party which is sooner, but due to the weather I can't expect all our Mews to be in costume...)
-They don't yet, but we're going to sew on some of those 'invisible' plastic straps, so it's like a backpack.
-Nope! They're just for show. But the Pudding Ring doesn't ring, the Mint Arrow doesn't shoot and the Zakuro Spear doesn't flash, so they're all just for photographic effect~
-Gold foil over shaped Blu-Tack, and the mark is drawn on with a red Sharpie. They actually look really good, and they're sooo easy!
-Ears are triangles of fluffy fabric sewn together (the Zakuro ears have garden twine inside them to help them stand up) and then sewn to a headband, and the tails are the shapes cut out and sewn together, then stuffed with toy stuffing (like cotton wool), and wired with remains of a wire coathanger so they stand up~
-The fabric was mostly from John Lewis, but there are other fabric shops like Tatters that do fluffy fabric as well~
awesome!!!! *i think my cosplay confidence just went down a notch* lol. these are soooo good! i love the pudding ring too, and the ichigo gloves--my outfit is considerably less put together, i don't even know if i'm gonna be able to wear it this year. plus, i just found out that one of my best friend's graduation parties is the 2nd day of the 3 day con i boght a full pass for, so i'm gonna be missing a whole days worth of panels and special guests. T.T but she's my best friend, so she's worth it
you'll have to let me know you made those pendants and stuff, they look soo dead on snugglez-chan! i'll have to post pics of my costume in progress and we can compare notes
How do the wings attach to you?
Do the castanets actually clap or whatever?
What are the pendants made out of?
How did you make the ears and the tails?
Where did you get the fabric?
