Actually, (though it's a common mistake to make her purple) I think Zakura is meant to be maroon which is a red-purple which is a little closer to the colour of some pomegranates. But there is still e bit of stretching with her design every now and then so I guess your right.

I can understand the 'stretch' of black tea to dark blue. Also, pomegranites are ruby red and Zakuro's colors are purple and white. I mean, what's up with that? o_O
I looked up the pika and it's too adorable! Very unique choice for the DNA.
The weapon is very original too. That reminded me of the seal kimera anima in the anime of TMM and it had a horn that it blew on to attack. But your weapon is definitely different.
BTW, you should draw the weapons (or the mews using their weapons) so we can see what they look like!

It's a pretty nice program, though it doesn't have as much as Photoshop or Sai. In a way, it's like a more advanced MS Paint with layers, better line tools, a soft line tool, etc.
It's also free.

Yay! Another mew!
I really like the personality. Its orginal and cute, and its not what ever other fan mew has. I also like who her "mature and coolness" shows in her design.
The black tea idea is good too, I made a green tea mew in my new generation mew set last year.
