In the thumbnail, I thought this piece was a painting. After looking at it when it's more blown up, it still looks like a painting. It's really cool. There aren't many good artists on this site, but I do have to say that you're one of the best. You should continue art for a career.
Hey, the best advice that I can give is to experiment. I used to use a million layers to get things done, like sketch on one, lineart on another, base colors, baser colors, etc. Now I rarely use over 2 layers in a painting. See what works best for you, because everyone works differently! :)

And you have to help me on using this her tablet!
Its realyl hard because people told me to use layers some told me to not use any at all T__T
