thanks for the comments! I don't think really intended it to be a smile but that's what seems to be the consensus so far. i'll see if i can change it when this is finally done!
thanks for the compliments! this is the first colored one i've made and it's been a lot of fun to do! i'm not sure if she's smiling or not. i kinda just drew a line for the mouth as a placeholder early on and I got used to it, so it stayed!

yah i agree she it would be extremely rare if Rei were smiling. i definitely don't think of someone smiling when i think of Rei.
i'm pretty new to anime-style drawing (5 days and counting!) and i've just begun to realize how such a small change in the curve of a line or its thickness can have a huge effect. it's pretty cool...what relative simplicity can convey!
Rei smilling?chances are slim to none,but anycase I have too admit this is very well done!!-espetialy the colouring,Rei's my favorite evangelion character I also draw lots of pic's of her whenever I get the chance-anycase I hope too see some more of your work-keep it up!
