Aaaaaaaww! I love pictures like this! I think it looks wonderful.I really like the expressions. If you wanted to add something to the background I would think about a building edge with the sky or field type area. Those would give some nice shades for a soft background so it doesn't compete with them.
I think this looks great. I still think their faces are miss shapen but, oh well. Great work on the coloring. I really like the way you color Ikkis hair it looks really good. Again great job on this and keep it up!
