I think her outfit design is pretty neat so far. Even if you aren't too fond of the arm puffs and the leg garter, it might be a good idea to add them anyway. Zakuro's basically an adult (almost, at least), and she wears 'em. I think you've got a good idea so far! Keep it up, girl. *smiles*

By the way, you're pretty great for a 12-year-old! Only a year younger then I am.

thanks @minto! yeah we changed the story line a bit, but now that you say that about the infused thingy were changing that to being infused with a vampire bat! we wanted to make her different from all the others because she's the leader in our manga...and we thought that having poofey arm bands would look a little odd on an adult XD yeah and the whole food name thingy made me hungry so i didn't want to do that hehe

Nice pic for your first upload, I like it.
See, here's the problem: she's not really a mew mew. If she isn't infused with an animal, than she can't be one. The whole reason mewmews have been infused with endangered animal species is to give them the power and the drive to protect their planet and/or anything precious to them.
Other than that, I name change is in order, seeing as all Mews are named after foods.
Her costume is really cool, though, so good job on that! I think if you changed her boots a bit to fit the garter onto her leg, it'd be fine. Also, the arm bands aren't drawn like they should be, but I think if you want to keep that style you could just put poofey-ish fabric inbetween the holes of her armbands and it'd be fine. =]

All in all, I see what you were going for in this mew mew, and she's definitely got potential. Just make sure you stay true to the mew mew series. =]

I agree with Mizuki, she's not very mewish. Take a look at some of the other mews, notice the armbands, garters, etc. Try to add those to her design and a detailed background would be nice too.

Thanks for the dedication!! I love your picture, it is very well drawn, but it doesn't quite look like the normal mew mew.
Mews outfits are relativly simple and yours is so complex. I think you should explain her background a bit.
