It's a good drawing. The expression on the subject is wonderfully captured.
semi-realism, you say? the figure is drawn quite well. It could still improve, you know. The background (the tree branch), could use some details on the bark. Then again, I'm not very familiar with the kind of tree that is in there. It's just me and my fascination with drawing landscapes... hehehe..
