You can select a slightly darker version of the color that is touching.

If you don't use black lines, it looks more unified and softer, that's a good way to draw things on paint without making them look pixely and ununified ^^

Awww....it's cute though! Rei looks cuter somehow on paint. The lines when you do em on paint however look unblended. That's what sucks about paint. Whatever. Owo...rofl I'm too dumb to know wether or not the differences in colors when you change formats. But good luck in the contest!
