Oh it looks like a girl to me, yeah soft colours definitely don't match this picture, I like the way you used the red too, it makes the whole picture have an energetic feel. To me red gives off this vibrant and really aggressive feeling, so it's ok not to go soft on it! Great job~~ ^^
