whoa... nice coloring you've got! i really like the way you drew her - the eyes, the emotion written all over her face - i'm sure you're gonna be a great artist one day!
Well, for skin, i usually outline it in brown, if im doing normal skin color. Then i shade the dark shadows with brown too. Then i use a tan color and gradually get lighter from the shadows. If im doing a light, greyish color from the skin, i lightly outline it in black and shade with black. Then ill use a tan color and very very lightly add a tiny bit of color. Or maybe ill just use grey.
Texture....Well the only texture that i use a lot is hair. And for that just do a bunch of lines and dont color solid.

Aww she's beautiful. Don't give in, the otaku isn't (or at least shouldn't) be about popularity. I agree that perhaps there should be different rankings for worlds, wallpapers, fanart etc, because some people seem popular due to art, and others due to their blogs.

Some of my pencils are Prismas, and some of them are just crayolas...Theyre all mixed up together in a ziploc.....
