*sighs* Yeah, his head does look a little too short >_< I noticed that too...it looks fine(and better! T.T) in real life, but on the computer it looks weird...I know the scanner had something to do with it (it always makes things look wider then they are ), or maybe my graphing system was slightly disproportional and I just couldnt tell until I saw it on the computer...or maybe its a combination of both...

Very nice texture on the hand and the clothing.

The head seems a little squat, though. Is he really like that, or is his head taller? Or was that your scanner messing with the size?

Yes! It's always refreshing to see some more realism around this place! =D Great job on his hair and face! I really like the veins and bones in his hand too, they are incredibly difficult but you pulled it off amazingly!

I just have to say this: I don't think you have to be worried in that contest! This is a fantastic piece of art. This is the way I would love to be able to draw. He is so damned handsome in this picture, I love the pose you have him in, the shading just brings him to life, it's just like a photograph. I honestly can't see the flaws you mentioned and if your scanner murdering it makes the picture look this good the original must be beyond belief.
