Well, he's a thief...he's not meant to stand out nor carry around a hard-core lavish sword or knife. He needs something simple, light-weight, yet gets the job done. An elegant sword wouldn't fit his overall poor look when you're trying to "not be noticed."

Well, I want him as a neko. My character, I can do what I want! lol! Besides, ever hear the phrase, "looks can be deceiving." He may look cute and he plays on that role well when needs to be...but then you see your wallet missing and...'hey! Where'd he go?!!!!"

THE GOOD: The highlights, the pose, and most of all the BACKGROUND! Love it! Some city elements would be nice though...
THE BAD: I dont like the design of the knive, it doesnt match the sleekness of the character, the neko doesnt really seem to match him, though cats are sleek and sneaky but it just seems a little too cute for a professiional thief.

Oh, so you're using the Clamp style in your own original art now? Very cool character, I love that look and his knife. Sweet job.

Yeah. It's true that CLAMP does add a really nice slender look to most of their bishis. I don't read their mangas but I just tend to look at their artbooks. LOL
Wow....-_-; Those their are some really fancy looking/sounding art tools that you've got yourself their. The only art tools that I own that are somewhat fancy are my alcohol-based markers from Deleter. The name of the markers are NeoPiko2. Quite a bit pricey if you ask me but they are a lot cheaper when you buy them in Japan than when you buy em online.
