You really captured the essence of Edward in this, especially in the expression. Personally, there is no need for a backgrond. It's all about the coloring and personality, just like a portrait. My faveorite about this is the eye's. There is a lot of depth and emotion to it. Keep up the good work!
This is really cool! It looks like it's straight from the anime, only the colouring is way better! I think a complicated background would stuff up the picture anyway. :P
