No, it certainly isn't messed up! Gaara looks great in this pic, and the sand too. I've always found sand difficult to draw and let alone colour @_@ This piece has no obvious flaws, but areas you can improve on would be, as you mentioned already, the colouring :) When you colour, try not to make your shading strokes too visible. Colour softly but thoroughtly. If you notice that your strokes are still visible, you can use an eraser and rub lightly on the picture to smudge the colours a little and hide the stroke lines. Or else, you can shade the same area again in a different direction. Without stroke lines, you'd realise that the colours would look a lot smoother ^^ I hope that helps! Again, great job on this piece and I hope to see more from you!

Messed up? Man that pic looks awesome! I don't see anything wrong with it, in my eyes I think it's perfect and you shouldn't belittle yourself, you're great. I think Masashi Kishimoto himself couldn't do any better.

this is frickin awesome what did you use to color this???? oh yeah i colored that trigun lineart i used photoshop for the first time it was fun cant wait to use it more.....i like all of your work and ya know i think that your Byakyuya kinda resembles the sick kid (Sid)from the movie The Lords Of Dogtown..just thought it was cool

hmm it looks ok to me i like it you actually captured garra'r complection quite well...
