Hey I do have the same plot for a comic I was gonna make but a bit different! well when Ed and Al go into that other world a philosipher stone was created in another country-(in the old world). general Mustang then used the stone to open the gate and bring back Ed and al a year after they left!yay!So they went home to find out Winry moved(and i wouldn't blame her she would be 18 and that house probably had many good and bad memories!)but her grandma was still there! any way winry goes home to visit and finds out ed and al are back! Well a few weeks later ed and al decide to travel the world! and a few more weeks later Winry gave birth to a baby boy that she name Antonio Elric! The thing is she didn't know she was pregnant till after Ed left! So he doesn't know! well after giving birth winry and Tony went back to rushvalley (where winry lives) till ed broke his automail and had to have her fix it and get a suprise! Thats just the begining I don't have it all down yet! but I like your idea too!
