Kagome is my favourite female anime character, so I love this picture! She looks a little sad here, but she gets sad a lot (well, mostly with the whole Inuyasha and Kikyou thing). I like the sad pictures of her, for some reason. She's more human like that, than with her being all smiles all of the time. *Shrugs* You did a great job on your shading, for it being your first time. It's always hard to shade evenly, but you managed to pull it off pretty well. *Smiles* I hope to see more Kagome fanarts from you in the future (and Sesshoumaru, too. But he's a pain in the butt to draw, so I'll understand if you never draw him again. lol).^_^
