Hmm, good question...I would have to say no, since the challenge is to use the messages that the lyrics convey as they are, unmodified. Remixing them would make Jim crawl in his grave.
Now, if you are talking about graphically scrambling them (like the words falling randomly out of a bucket or something), while still portraying the image that the lyrics represent, then that's fine.
