in this instance, i'm using amalgamation to mean a character that is comprised completely of aspects from pre-existing characters from the show/fandom/whatever that don't belong to the "original character"'s creator. if you're still unsure, send me a message with the character you want to use and i'll tell you if it's passable or not.
