Really? Well, I can offer arguments for science. But about really FEELING God there..sometimes you feel him in ways you do not expect, you know? or, rather, the way you feel God does not live up to your expectation, maybe, But you shouldn't let that stop you.
I think the problem for many people is that 'Religion' gets in the way of their beliefs. I believe in God, even though at times my faith seems a little wobbly, it is still there. Belief is a very personal thing. I wish you all the best in working through what to put your faith in.
Regarding the eCard, I think you chose the perfect image. The girl looks thoughtful, yet still hopeful. I hope this year is a good one for you :3

It's very sad that you're feeling like this at the start of a new year, but my advice would be to never give up hope. There has to be a God out there otherwise many of us would be lost; For many, God is a source of strength and patience and I think you need to put more faith in God but most importantly in yourself. Then you wont feel like this anymore, because you will know what you want and without even knowing you'll get there! ^^ xx
