Well, I have no in-depth knowledge on Mushishi or Kimi ni Todoke, but Wikipedia says KNT is drawn by Karuho Shiina, while Mushishi is drawn by Yuki Urushibara. So no, I really don't think they have anything in common, even though their drawing styles are somewhat similar.
