Joseph Stalin often gets credit that line from Erich Maria Remarque, the author of "All's Quiet On The Western Front".
Comes from his book "The Black Obelisk" from 1956. The line reads, "Aber das ist wohl so, weil ein einzelner immer der Tod ist — und zwei Millionen immer nur eine Statistik."
Y'know, while we're on the subject of correctly attributing what to whom.
This is where I'm going to tell you to lay off the attempt to do what's known as backseat moderating. Citing the source of a quote is not required in cases like this. The card does not need to be changed, it's fine as it is.
