Welcome to my world.

I'm SomeGuy, 29 years old, residing in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I've studied English Literature, Chinese Martial Arts, and am currently pursuing careers in writing - possibly even in the anime industry itself.

And I work for this site.

And you should be watching Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad.
Or watching Ranma 1/2.
Or learning about the Shinsengumi.
Or planning to visit Vancouver, The Best Place On Earth (actual marketing motto).

Here at the "Smallville" page, I have my personal blog where I'll post about anything and everything. If ya need me or otherwise need to know anything from/about me, here's where I'll be.

If you're really looking for my more professional, site-type stuff, you wanna head over my "Metropolis" world.

A temporary fix . . .

Alright, so I've moved ALL the stuff out of my apartment and into the unit next door to it. Over here I have no cable set up and as such, I have no internet access.

Tonight, before the renovation really starts, I have my cable modem and my router pulled all the way over, into my old bedroom and sitting as close as possible to my new temporary apartment. As such, the wireless router is just close enough to the tech in this apartment that wireless will work.

That said, I had to crack out this old silly USB wifi adaptor for my desktop. This'll do for now. Not a great connection, but a connection is a connection. More likely, we'll need a more permanent solution for the month as I figure the renovators won't appreciate a long-assed cable wire going across the living room floor, around the hallway and into the bedroom.

I guess I can accept living here for now, then.

As long as I have internet . . .

Temp moving sucks . . .

So we've gone from this:

And just think, in a month I get to do this all over again!

FML.

Moving Day! Again!!!

Guess who's moving again?

Alright, this is only a temporary, partial move. The building is getting renovated and they're going unit by unit. So, mine's next.

What does that involve? It entails my moving ALL of my stuff out of my current apartment and into the empty, already-renovated one next door to mine. I shall live in that unit for the next month or so while they fix up my normal one. Then after that, I move on back.

Admittedly, this will be a bit of a pain in the ass. Still, the pros outweigh the cons so it should be fine. I am especially excited about the new kitchen appliances. Bigger sink, newer oven/stove. It's very gusta-worthy.

Worst of it is that this had to happen during workshop mode . . . ah well.

Workshop Mode?

Yup. Workshop mode.

Thanks Laura!!!
