Nice story! Its amazing how small things like games affect your life so much. I have been playing piano for about 3 years now and i am trying to learn Amber Light from negima along with my grade 3 (ABRSM) stuff!
whoa! is that really how it all happened!? +(^_^)+ dude i've been playing piano since i was 7(i'm 15 now) but it was kinda forced on me. it's only been recently that i've really found the love(and obsession) for music. *sigh* i really wish something like that would happen for me. +(^_^)+
hey there i love the story i didnot even know half of what you said but now i do i play piano and i've got to say i'm empressed i still dont know any of the songs to the games yet but man i wish i could of seen you play myself. it sounds like it was a great performance. later
music fom ff games r cool i luv lisening 2 them and a lot of games have great music.i luv music and i luv piano music nice and slow or with a beat u can dance 2 and dont think ppl wont care about ur hobbys and if they dont then thats thier loss.u keep on playing k.
I would like to learn how to play the piano but I could never remember all those notes just to one song... But yeah it'll be awesome if I did learn. Great Job!
i like to play piano. i try to play it when i was 9 year old. But i still don't get it so i quite. But i still love to play it. i use to have a piano. But not anymore, i love piano i will ask my mom to take piano class later on the year. and you are so cool.... keep it up......
Man that's really cool. I tried playing the piano even though I didn't know any notes I could play a few songs. Of course nothing awesome and soon just gave up that hobby. Well keep up the good work.
That's really cool!! I've tried learning some Final Fantasy pieces on the piano, but the piano skills I gained between 3rd and 6th grade had diminished, and I can't play any of the pieces well enough....
Awesome! I can play music by ear quite well and I've learned to play versions of Hamtaro, FF, D.Gray-Man, and Sailor Moon. I'm currently learning Hellsing, but with little success....I'll just keep trying! Thanks for the story. I can really relate to it! *hugs*
Wow, this is really cool, I love music, but unfortanantly i'm not exactly...um, musically talented, The best I can do is get in the chorus of my school musicals, lol. But I find it amazing that you started off teaching yourself then really developed it into a great talent.
I tried to learn the zelda tune... i attempted to teach myself on a tin penny whistle... then i tried the keyboard... it sounds rather pants, but nevermind. Keep up the piano - it is beautiful. Music is never nerdy or geeky ^_^ game music is just as illustrative and illuminating as film soundtracks. I have lots of game sountrack music on my laptop *grins*
That is SO cool! I love the piano myself and have been playing for a some time now. It's only been the past couple years of my college time that I've received some great formal training. However, I really wish I could "pick up the piano" and play whatever songs I hear. But it doesn't seem like it's there.
It's amazing how something so "small" can have a major impact on our lives. Just the smallest turn of events can lead to the greatest moments of our lives! That is really cool. I'm just at a loss for any other word but "cool." Lol
I'm totally inspired! That's a touching,real-life story! I was thinking about playing the piano since I have one in my house, but i just leave it to dust...since i really don't know how to start.o_o Anywho, I'm happy for u! Its always good to have a hobby you love and it ends up being a huge part of your life!
Wow, who knew how much renting a video game could change a person's life. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to hear any of your music yet. I've been meaning to try to find it for a while now, but haven't had the chance.
I loved your story though. It's very inspiring! ^_^
Doing what you are now is something that I would greatly enjoy. I'm going into a piano performance major next year, and though I love playing my classical pieces, sometimes it helps to play songs from games/anime I enjoy to be able to get back from the piano as a chore (practicing), to something fun and quite enjoyable. Thank you for sharing you're beginnings with us, its quite inspirational!
You're on theO now?! Holy crap, I'm floored . . . in the best of ways, I assure you.
This is really interesting to hear the back story to how you got started doing what you do. Gotta say, I'm extremely glad that you did, 'cause I'm a fan (and extremely upset that I missed you at Sakura-con last year).

Wow. That's way awesome. Good to know that I'm not the only one who sits around trying to figure out video game music...
Although, I do prefer band instruments to piano, for some reason or another...
