@Neko Nana Mode:
Life does that, the more that happens that goes against you the more cynical views become. In terms of anime though I don't think you're being very critical and cynical. I'm actually really nit-picky with what I watch since I know I can't fit every anime series that comes out each season in some sort of non-existent schedule I have. XD Haha So I completely understand about wanting to borderline drop things including Ronja. I know I tried some stuff and already dropped two shows and planning to drop another.
I don't think I ever felt too critical on an anime series because again I'm rather nit-picky and I don't give myself alot of time to really watch everything under the sun soooooooooo...yeah. I think the only time I have felt I was too critical was dealing with a game. Anime-wise...I can't really think of a title where I felt I probably was too critical. I mean others might say I'm being too critical, but I'm the type that can't endure something much longer if I don't have to and I'm not feeling it . XD So I feel it's perfectly okay if Ronja just end up not being your cup of tea. There are plenty of other flavors out there to enjoy. :)
Hmm...I'll think on Kokkuri-san. I might just wait till it finish airing. 'Yuki Yuna' sounds really interesting though and learning that MONACA is providing the music piqued my interest even more...though I shouldn't watch an anime due to music alone. <.<;;; But how you described it tickled a fancy. I'm thinking about looking into it. I'll let you know. :)

I woke up this morning and realized that I've been very critical and cynical lately given some turns in my life. Ronja was not what I expected but I think I had high expectations for it. I'm going to wait to watch the next couple episodes and try to come back with a less mean though pattern.
The last series I kinda was like this with was "Suite Precure", the only one I've yet to watch. I originally started to watch it when it was airing, but it didn't match the goodness of the season before, "Heartcatch". At the time, I'd not seen any other precure and wasn't even close to being a fan. I was too critical.
"Yuki Yuna", I wait eagerly for the next episode. And you should check out Kokkuri-san, I think you'll like it.
Happy Shower Explosion!

I can see how you're put off with the artwork of Ronja. I was a bit taken back by it first because I didn't expect that kind of artwork, but I ended up really enjoying it. I wish 'Ni No Kuni' would have looked like this than what it did since that is a video game from BandaiNamco collab with Studio Ghibli. Then again by this point I'm kind of use to the CGI in anime series I thought this was one of the better looking ones that have it. I guess episode 3 will be the deciding factor!
I feel ya on 'Amagi Brilliant Park' in terms of characters. There doesn't seem to be that much of a likeable character in the series or a character to really stick. I wasn't even going to try this anime at first, but I actually find the premise of it interesting because I personally haven't seen any other anime have such a premise so my curiosity is piqued. XD I guess we'll just have to see in more episodes. I'll probably write down my full impressions on a post after another week or so.
I'm not watching 'Kokkuri' or 'Inou-Battle', but that's great you're getting your laughs out with these. :) I haven't seen the first 'Chaika' season, but I'm glad the sequel seem to be off to a good start. It's nice when sequels doesn't seem to be a complete let down
I agree with you about 'Parasyte'. I'm also glad it doesn't have horrible censorship. I don't mind censorship, but how 'Tokyo Ghoul' and 'TerraFormars' were/are censored is just...makes things pretty unwatchable. And the interaction with the main character and Migi(sp?) is really interesting. I wonder how the main character's change will affect things as well. Really looking forward to more episodes of this.
I don't think I heard about 'Yuki Yuna wa Yusha de Ar', but sounds interesting on how you explained it. After 'Madoka Magica', I wonder how many studios would try to repeat it, but hopefully they'll keep their own flavor of things that will work than trying to follow another series footsteps. Looking forward to hearing more about it sometime if you do another post. *nods*
