Chapter Five: Confusion
Note: when you see Italics it is someone's thoughts. Mostly Hime's through out this chapter.
Hime walked over to the safe. When Chero had caught up it was only Dino and Hime. The others decided to wait in the meeting room for now.
“Here it is.”
Hime dialed in the combination and heard a click. The safe opened to reveal a key. The label said study.
“…It is REALLY nice that all of these keys are labeled,” Hime said.
“Yeah! It’s like being in a video game,” Chero said.
“I think I know what door it opens,” Dino said.
Dino led the way to the locked door that was in the room he and Chero had investigated earlier. Hime took out the key and unlocked the door.
“…This room is la-BOOKS!” Hime cheered going over to the book shelf.
Dino poked around the desk while Chero watched.
“A button?” Dino questioned, pressing it.
Hime cried out. The bookshelf slid to the side to reveal a door.
“…This is just like Nancy Drew,” Chero said.
“Let’s go!” Hime exclaimed, leading the way.
Dino and Chero followed Hime in. Dino paused to lock the door.
“Just in case…”
The room was basically a prison cell. Inside the cell was a key. Hime was already opening the door and heading in to grab the key.
“I got it. So…Now we leave?” Hime asked.
Chero grabbed Dino’s hand.
“Yes…And probably get ready to run back to the meeting room…” Chero said.
Hime nodded.
Dino got ready and unlocked the door.
The trio hurried through and were met by the monster.
“EEK!” Chero cried, “RUN RUN RUNRUNRUN!”
