The three managed to escape from the monster and meet back up with the other back in the study. Which you know…may not have been the most brilliant idea…due to how the monster totally tried to eat them there not too long ago.
“There you three are!” Kiki cried, worry leaving her voice, “You made it back safely.”
“We found the clock,” Mocha said.
“The key leads to the basement, right? Before we go down there…I say we get this memory thing all sorted out,” Dante said.
“Alright, each of us gets three minutes. If you have anything else to say…how about raising our hands, bene?” Dino instructed.
“I’ll go first.” Kiki volunteered, “I don’t think it is only me…But didn't you all notice anything when we broke the clocks?”
“You noticed it too? So, it was not just my imagination…”Mocha sighed.
“You mean…we all get false memories when we break a clock?” Dante questioned.
“Really?” Dino questioned.
“…” Chero took Dino’s hand and squeezed it.
“When we broke the clock in the piano room I got a memory of coming here with Hime…But,” Mocha said.
“We should look carefully and try and remember how we got here, “Dante said.
“Ok. It all started in the fanroom with everyone there. INCLUDING those who we are currently missing,” Kiki stated.
“Right. There is no doubt that we all started there. Jenny heard about the mansion from Tumblr and said she wanted to come and see what it was like,” Hime added.
“We were all terribly bored…Since Toshiro said Kiki and I were not allowed to set off explosives. So, Jenny, Kiki, Dante, Francis and I all came over,” Mocha explained.
“I also invited Danni, but she did not come with us. I sent her a message from the entrance of the mansion,” Dante spoke up.
Everyone in the circle was paying close attention to what each other were adding to the supposed true story. Chero watched everyone with interest.
“When Danni got that message, Chero got excited and said she wanted to come too. So, the three of us came along with Hime,” Dino piped up.
“…Yeah,” Chero agreed.
“But I also have different memories…” said Kiki.
“Maybe…we’re getting confused by having all of those memories. We do not know what one is right and it confuses us even more, making us draw the wrong conclusions…” Chero explained.
“That is true…Getting all of those memories mixed up could be confusing and problematic…” Dante sighed, he was worried about Danni.
“Well! From now on, when we break a clock… We will get a lot of false memories…Um. We shouldn’t believe any of them, ne?” Chero added.
“Chero is right. We should discard all of those fake memories right away to avoid confusion,” Hime said.
“I’m going to break the clock.” Dino said, “If you get any strange memories…Just forget them right away.”
CRASH!
Hime closed her eyes as memories washed over her. She watched as she met up with Danni, like earlier…Only something was missing. What was it? Hime gasped as the monster burst through the door and attacked the memory version of her and Danni. No. This was not right. Hime was sure she locked the door. This was a fake memory.
“Danni! Danni! Are you ok?” the memory Hime asked.
“I…I am alright. I can’t die…I have to see Dante again…right?” she wheezed.
“Yes. I’ll take you to see him. Right away, ok? So…Hold on!”
Because I forgot to lock the door…Danni…Danni. NO. This is a fake. This did not happen. Danni is alive and she is just missing. This did not happen.
Hime banished away the false memory.
