But I do have a question...um, when I uploaded my first comic, my Portfolio page got all messed up. The little "Backroom, my portfolio, my favorites, logout" box was way at the bottom of the screen, and there was an extra copy on the page with no title; it was just sitting there. I'm just wondering how to fix this problem...? :)

Um...a few quick questions, When your username changes, and someone dedicated a work to you, the name just changes right? The dedication is still dedicated to me despite the new username?
And the works and challenges and such under the current username, they just change to your new username right?

Okay, I've checked into it and here's the deal. Chances are you can still log in with your new username. However, you will no longer be able to access your older archived posts and most options to update or change things will no longer work.

I'm going to update this FAQ so the question about myOtaku will include this information.

But seriously, glad a FAQ deal is now up for this. I've had people ask me for a name change, because I had one at one point.

Changing our usernames affect our ability to log into myOtaku, but will it still be there for us to look at?

Your request reminded me that myOtaku users could potentially be locked out of their older myO accounts if their name is changed since it is not compatible with the older system.

So I updated this FAQ to include that information. If you still want the change go ahead and send me a PM. But if it does lock you out of your myO account we would not be able to restore that for you.

Can I change someone else's username?

Anyone you are subbed to will still be there. The system will simply update it to reflect their new user name. So they'll still have the same Avatar, Worlds, etc. Just under a different name.
