I agree with him in a way; I mean yeah, kids shouldn't be holed up inside the house all day. But us otaku need support, too! ;)

I guess it's the word "otaku", which tends to have a different meaning in Japan than it does here. >>
You can watch and enjoy anime/manga healthily, but Miyazaki just wants y'all to go out and play too.
