To be honest the home page is a bit too crowded with the "community updates" and it crowds out the "Mod"s Choices". I liked it kind of the way it was before. Maybe cut down the updates to 4 or 5 that appear? Anyway just a thought I'd thought I'd share...

It's exciting to see that Itachi is finally going to be able to post on the front page! She's been doing a fantastic job as an administrator and she's been doing great on keeping things active on the social media site.
I defiantly think that the things posted on facebook should be Featured here or have something else shown here that wouldn't be on the other social sites.
Other then that, still looking forward to seeing that front page renovation.
I think Bonnie has done a wonderful job of managing the site so far and she's an excellent addition to TheO moderation team. Between balancing her own personal life, she's really trying her best for everyone around here with not only the social media side, but for artists and their art in general. I'm looking forward to seeing what else she contributes as well, she's done great so far!
I know others have brought up the suggestion of somehow integrating the social medias side (Twitter and Facebook), to the main page to provide more interaction amongst the community and I'd have to vote the same. While I do have a Twitter, I don't have a Facebook, and it seems that's where the majority of the activity is at, and its a shame to miss out on what's going on over there. I'd love to see the main page somehow incorporate that, so that way others who don't have one or the other of the social sites, can join in on everything too, without having an account on them and somehow allowing members to use their TheO account instead? I think that would be pretty awesome and it'd be easier for everyone. I know this is currently in the works, but hopefully it'll all meld together!
Also, while it's good to have the site updates displayed on the front page, I can't help but think that maybe it seems to be taking over it a bit? You have to scroll down to see the "Mod's Choice" section, and it doesn't really seem even, like there's more of the site updates than there is of the featured artwork. As Keba stated, I think it'd be better to display five of the updates instead of six, to make it even and so the headline of the featured works grabs the attention of the site viewers.
With that said, I'm looking forward to seeing the renovation of the front page and other parts of the site as well. It's been a joy being apart of TheO circle and it's exciting to know that everything is going to be revitalized again as it once was. Good luck to everyone in this process!
I just read that Artist Feature of the Month, and I liked the little Q&A at the bottom. It gives you a better idea of the artist, rather than just having something to look at.
I agree with everyone's points here. Ita-chan (ItachiSasuke) has done a great job handling things around the site and theO's FB page is awesome. But like somebody mentioned, not all of us have a social media page. Maybe bring some of that action here somehow? I don't know but I guess you are kind of doing that already?
I kind of like the "Mod's choices" feature thing, its interesting but sometimes seems too selective. There are A LOT of artists works that deserve to be featured. Hope that will include older works too...
I'd like to see a change in the site layout itself. Maybe a darker-ish layout of blue, aqua, and grey? It would be cool.
And definitely more customization options for "World" blogs. I'd like to see some new color schemes and maybe anime schemes added? Just a thought.
Anyway that's my 2 cents worth. TheOtaku is a great site and it has let me open up and share my art and learn so many new things. And I've met so many wonderful people here (Like Bonnie). I think she'll make theO shine again in its former glory soon. Only time will tell. Anyway good luck! We are all rooting for ya!

I'm really excited about this. Keeping the homepage alive is a good way to invigorate the site. I miss those discussions and caption battles. I'd also like to know who February's Otaku of the Month is going to be. And I'm also hoping for some kind of site-wide contest.
I have a suggestion, too. Instead of six site updates showing on the homepage, maybe knock it down to five. That way, people can see the Mod Choices without having to scroll down. Newcomers might not even know that they're down there. Now that I think about it, maybe you'll be phasing out the Mod Choices sometime in the future, but that's just a guess.
As always, if you need anything, I'm willing to help. This has kind of been my main Internet hangout, and I really want theO to succeed.
Call it karma. Call it luck. Me, I just don't give a... BOUNCE!
Already loving the changes. She's doing a fantastic job with the Facebook page by keeping everyone involved with conversation and news updates. I'm excited to see what else she'll accomplish here, too. :)

I love what she's doing with the homepage. It's more open, lots of interaction, and she usually highlights an artist when she posts. I think what she's doing with the facebook page would also be good for this page. I really think this page should update more though.
