OK, I know it looks like there's not much to this, but I'm really proud of it. I'm sure anyone can look at some of my other stuff (even my other drawings of Alfred himself) and say I've done lots better before, but...well, this is really important to me b/c it's one of the few things I've done with absolutely no reference whatsoever. It started off as just another fast sketch like these, but I got to really liking how cute he was and decided to put some ink on it and see how it turned out. I still think the back of his hair is kinda funny looking, but oh well...

Anyway, I can't do a dedication here, but it was inspired in part by the story The Baffled King and the Idiot Hero by the amazing Ellarose C I say in part b/c I wasn't really intending to do fanart of the story, but as I was trying to imagine Al the way I wanted to draw him I was using the personality I can feel from his character in that story to really picture him in my mind. It's probably b/c of that that he's a bit younger looking than the anime or original version (he's around 17 in the story) but I seem to really like him being young and cute looking. I think he's really hot when I think about him, but whenever I draw him his cheerful personality comes out and he's just cute.
