Referance, even though it wasn't used much. Sort of pulled up the picture and did my own thing, which was stupid because the referance is a lot closer to how I picture this guy.

Now, you won't believe it but this guy is a character and one I've drawn before. Right here. This is dog number two for me. Same dog, but wow has he changed in just a few months.

This is Keoki, like the hard to read white text says. My GIMP crashed so I'm hoping the white text works as watermark. The long break down of Keoki's evolution from that blob to this is here.

Keoki's role is pretty simple. He is Caleb's dog. Looking at it from psychology, he is Caleb's bestfriend, confidant, partner, and most of all commrade. Caleb and Keoki is classic 'a boy and his dog'. Slightly more extreme since the two need each other for survival in cases. A very co-dependant relationship.

Has anyone played Fable 2? That's basically Caleb and Keoki, except Keoki can't find treasure or do tricks. And is much bigger and shaggier. People probably wouldn't try kicking him. Crossbow him, yeah, but not kick.

If I ever fix GIMP I'll turn this into a line art. It's not detailed enough to be a drawing.
