I painted this picture in 2005, but I still like it enough to re-submit it, again. The title refers to the song Song to the Siren by This Mortal Coil (originally, it's by Tim Buckley). It's similar to a lyric in that song. You should find this song and listen to it when you look at this art; they seem to go together. One final note, I made Haku's sash white for a purpose, instead of the usual color.

This is primarily painted with acrylic paints, but there is some subtle shading and highlighting done with watercolors. The sky, which is a balanced mix of acrylics and watercolors, was influenced by a winter sky I had seen, and I thought it would be perfect to use it with Haku. Unlike my previous artworks, I did not add any major CG effects; rather, I merely adjusted the brightness and color balance so they would match the colors of the physical artwork itself. I wanted this to be as natural as possible. I hope you all enjoy it.
