So yeah...after my last card, which was on the inspirational side, here's just a fun one! :) For summer time. Since tomorrow is the 4th of July (happy Independence day, US of A), I decided to have a summer-themed card~ I've been waiting months to use this Oofuri pic!! Lol. Mihashi and (I'm pretty sure) Izumi in yukata. <33 I believe it's from some doujinshi, so I'm not sure who the original artist is...and I don't remember where I found it either, lol!! But I liked it a lot. >D

First I changed the bg color from salmon pink to yellowy orange! I thought it'd look better that way~ Then I added some brushwork and a light texture that you can't really see anymore. Um, then the text!! ^_^ I tried something different with using the outer glow like that and also embossing the text, too. I NEVER use the emboss thing. But it works in this case...

As does the yellow, red, and white colors. I'm sure a lot of you don't know this, but my most despised color combination is white and yellow! *laugh* I don't know why, but wearing those two colors together just grosses me out. XD But the white glow and yellow bg is fine in this case since the yellow is more orangey. ;3 Anyhoo!! I like this card, and so I hope you guys do, too~ ENJOY THE SUMMER. [or if you're on the lower half of the globe...it's winter now?]
