It was a great feeling knowing I was out on my own. Well, not all alone, and definitely still under the rule of our God, but on my own enough so that I didn't have to report back every little thing I did. I was my own person. For now.

Hefting up the box in my arms, I ascended the stairs and went into the room that was my own. The bed was already made, and I was pretty well done organizing all of my things. This was the last box of all my books. Looking around, I realized how barren it looked. I didn't have much.

"About time you came down to help me," he teased, looking over his shoulder as he placed some dishes in the top most shelves where I wouldn't be able to reach.

"I was busy organizing my room!" I stuck my tongue out at him. I peaked into the box and took out some of the items and began putting them away.

It would be nice living away from the main house.
