Woot! Updates aplenty!

Okies, so remember yesterday when I said I was doing chores all day, then going to Tom-san's band concert? YAY! For once, something went according to plan!

After I finished up here, I continued my chores.

  • finished laundry
  • rearranged my room
  • vaccuumed the house
  • swept the kitchen floor
  • removed the heavy rug, kitchen chairs, and kitchen table
  • mopped the kitchen, then had to REPLACE the rug, table, and chairs
  • did a little dusting
  • napped for two hours.

Yes, I napped for TWO HOURS! Why is this significant, you ask? Well, it's incredibly rare for Yosei to nap during the day. It's just not done. Pigs don't fly, do they? Yosei doesn't nap...
Except yesterday. Then, pigs flew. XD

It felt good, though. I needed it.

NOW! Onto the concert!
I got there a little early, so I sat with Tom and his mother in on the French meeting that was shceduled for that evening. He's gonna spend a month in France in June as part of a Student-exchange program. TT^TT I'm gonna miss him, needless to say. Niko's already saying she's going to be depressed from the deprivation. So, I think her and I will hang out a lot during that time.
ANYWAY~! His mom brought some chocolate cupcakes. And, these weren't you average chocolate cupcakes. The frosting on top formed this BEAUTIFUL chocolate rose! *sparkle, sparkle* OOOOH~! It was just too gorgeous to eat! In the end, I did eat it, though... it was tasty! *drools*
Then, went to the concert. First was the band, which Tom played his clarinet in. They played two songs. I personally thought it was a brilliant performance. But, later, he commented that it wasn't as good as it could've been... but, what did I know? I haven't played in a band since the eighth grade and... well, we were suckish amateurs then... and, Tom's band played in Carnegie Hall last year, so! I found it exquisite!

One of the songs was about a bombing in 1995 (I think) that killed 168 people. I think it took place in Ohio, but I'm sure I'm wrong. ^_^;; I can't remember, I was lost in the beauty of the sounds.

Then, his band finished and he and I sat through about 45 minutes of The Jazz Band. They weren't bad. I've never been one for Jazz, but it was alright. ^_^ Long songs, though! @_@ And, Tom really didn't care for one of the guys in the Jazz band. They'd been friends once, but the guy got into Jazz (Which is a hard thing to do and it's an Honor to be accepted) and he grew an ego. So, they had a fight and quit hanging out together.

Well, either way, it was a fun night. I then got to drive home at about 9pm. I got home and EVERYONE was in bed! What the duck, man? It wasn't late at all to me! Oh, well. I fell asleep around 11.

And, that's been it.
I wish Angelo and Niko could've come, but they were busy. TT^TT I hope to see them sometime in the next couple days.
I'm gonna go with Angelo to the school for lunch again today. I want to see my kohai! Then, tomorrow, Tom and Tiffany have some Science Fair thing where they're going to make a laser show that dances to music. So, we're going to go sit through that for a while. ^_^ I think it'll be fun. And, we'll all get to hang out. I'll let you all know how that goes, I guess later. ^o^

Have a fun weekend, continue Otakuing!
Much love,
~Yosei~
