So, today I skipped my Art class (it was a review day... yeah, like I need to review the color wheel. =_=), and went to my b/f's house. We had a fun time, hanging out, then we left for school around noon.
Anyhoo, while he went to his Irish class, I made the walk to the Dept. of Public Transportation to pay for my $70 parking ticket.
Anyway, I went in and handed the lady at the desk my three tickets, $70 and my appeal form for the second ticket because I thought it was unfair to punish someone twice for something they did wrong once. I mean, if your dog shat on the floor inside, would you rub his nose in it TWICE? If your kid got an F on their report card, would you send them to their room TWICE? I think not.
Anyway, I tried to explain that I would gladly pay the $20 for the hourly pay and the $25 for the parking violation as I agreed that they were, indeed, violations. So, she takes the paper and tickets, put my student ID in the computer and turns to me and says, "Ok, that'll be $20."
My heart missed a beat, "Just $20? What about the first parking violation? I'll pay for that..."
"Nope, that's taken care of. You just have to pay $20 for the hourly pay one." she replied.
So, I gave her the $20, took my receipt and left... I have no idea how my first violation was 'taken care of'... I mean I did something wrong, I was ready to pay for it... Oh well. I won't complain. That's an extra $50 in my pocket. XDDD
