Hey, fellow Anime/Manga lovers! It's TheDarkAngel here! AKA Yosei! WooT!

So, here's my World Page designed especially for me. For those of you who aren't familiar with me, I'm an aspiring Manga-ka (at least in my own mind) and I enjoy many things in life, including, but not limited to: sword-fights, squirrels, lingual jokes, shiny rocks, and strawberries.

Also, I was born in Texas, but raised in Montana. No, I don't ride horses, or boil water over a campfire to heat it, and as a matter of fact, I hate Westerns! I don't have an accent (y'all) and I don't wear a ten-gallon cowboy hat with chaps. I'm a normal, everyday average citizen of America... who wishes he were somewhere else. XD I'm also agnostic, so don't come preaching to me about anything, okies? And, I won't throw you down a well, okies? Yay! Friends!!!

Someone, grab my head and stick it in something sour!!! >.<

Augh, well, you all know about the great things that happened with my diabetes, right? If not, refer to the post below this one.

Now, this afternoon is EVIL!

1) My sister demanded I come pick her up, then take all her friends home too. She didn't even ask, they all just began to climb into my car when I went to pick her up! So, I drove all over town and a baby dragonfly got stuck in my car. :( It's gonna die, I know it! DX *cries*

2) Our house is DEVOID of food. I starved for most of the afternoon. Finally, I gave in and went to McDonald's for dinner. I like Mickey D's, but our house is empty of food! We need to go grocery shopping.

3) Last weekend, my little sister who's taller-than-me-and-five-years-younger-than-me got my mother hooked on Twilight. *suffers in slow agony*
My sister is one of those preppy-try-to-be-punk girls who has a new boyfriend every two weeks. All she cares about is popularity and the next new trend. A real conformist. Her and I are like North and South, Light and Dark, Day and Night, chocolate and vanilla. We clash like cats and dogs, to say the least.
So, she gets my mom hooked on that crappy Vampire dung (God, after it got popular, the fangirls just KILLED the books) and now they're having my dad watch the damn movie.

Honestly, I used to like the books before they became mainstream. But, we'll save that rant for another time.

Well, now for the bright side of things:

  • I'll get to see some friends tomorrow, despite the weather.
  • My sugars are on the road to recovery
  • I'm expecting a phonecall for an interview for a job in the next couple of days.
  • I just finished some super awesome drawings (all of Angelo) that I'll be posting in the coming days.

Excuse me while I go count my blessings and lucky stars and quit being such an emotional kid who obviously is attention-starved. I'm sorry guys. I really am. I don't mean for every other one of my posts to be full of angst and pain, but... I guess that's just me.

Well, thanks for reading! I owe ya one for making it this far. ^_^

Dr's visit a success!

Mood: Optimistic
Listening to: History Channel
Reading: The Magician (Sequel to The Alchemyst)
Watching: Prehistoric Monsters Revealed
Playing: LoZ: Windwaker
Eating: nothing
Drinking: diet coke

Well, went to the doctor this morning at about 9am. Wasn't too bad- got lost on my way through the hospital and ended up in the wrong building. BUT, a wonderful woman helped me find my way. ^_^ After I got there to check in, I realized my mom still had my Insurance Card, but they still let me in.

So, it turns out, my sugars have been high for a number of reasons. The biggest reason was because my pump wasn't giving me enough insulin, so the doctor fixed that. He also said it was because of my stress. High sugars stressed me out, which kept them high and stressed me out even more. So, it was really just an awful cycle. But, we've fixed it and I just need to monitor my blood sugars from now on!

I like how he personified diabetes. He said, "If you hate your diabetes, which is guaranteed to happen- no one WANTS it- your diabetes will hate you back. You need to suck up to it and it'll do better for you. Your pancreas is no longer making insulin, so you can't just let your body do the work. You have to compromise."

It actually helped me understand better.
The doctor also said eating complex carbs over empty carbs doesn't make a big difference either. Complex carbs tend to be in more healthy foods, but it won't make a difference as long as the insulin is doing its' job.

So, things went well. I also had to have some blood taken for my thyroid pills. Woot! All in all, things went much better than planned! So, I can stop worrying.

I've got three new pics to post! I'll get them up ASAP, I just need to ink and scan 'em. Incidentally, they're all of Angelo, but he's just so easy and fun to draw!

Well, have a great weekend! My friends have Spring Break next week! YAY! I'll get to see them! Bai-bee for nows!

Art update!

well, been working on some coloring of a pic I posted up FOREVER ago... here's some progress pics. :D

So, Today...

Copied from my dA journal:
AGH! It's been snowing all day! And, not regularly either.

It snows, then melts, then snows, then melts again! It's done that at least three times! Only in Montana can you have such a wide range of weather in ONE day... it's sunny now... earlier it was stormy, and the snow reached almost an inch at one point... then melted away.
Sorry, just found that kinda interesting... XD

Well, today's been better than yesterday. Sorry to have worried anyone. ^_^ I'm okay, now.
As you can see, there's two new arts from me! I'm gonna color 'em soon, I think.

Otherwise, I haven't done much today. Still need to set that appointment. I'll do that once this journal entry is done and over. Yeah.

Well, have a great week, all you guys! ^_^

~Yosei~

BTW, it's snowing again. :3

still on that damn emotional roller coaster...

Well, I have to schedule an appointment with my doctor tomorrow. My sugars have been up in the 300's lately- NOT good. Actually, that's extremely bad. I'm surprised I'm not in a coma in the hospital right now... I haven't told my parents. I don't like lectures and I can guarantee that's what I'll get if I tell them. So, I'm going to work it out with my doctor, hopefully.

Gawd, I hate diabetes.

  • I didn't ask for it.
  • It was hereditary, so there was nothing I could do to stop it.
  • It's sapping me of money.
  • It's a burden and depresses me.
  • It's liable to land me in the hospital, or kill me.

Gawd, I hope I can get help soon.
I cried over it today. I don't want to die, not yet.

But, it'd be my fault, I'm sure. Not monitoring well, or eating right, surely.

Wish I had the courage to be emo... but, I won't do that. I'm not that depressed... yet. And, I'm normally a really chipper person. I can't be emo, I'm too afraid of pain. *sigh*

I'm am soooo depressed right now. No job. No money. Economy is failing. And, the diabetes doesn't help. I need a real-life hug, guys.

Edit:

Guess my huge weight loss (without an appetite loss) and extreme tiredness are because of the high sugars. I'm gonna go check my keytones now (which means I gotta pee on a stick...) brb

Well, there's no signs of keytones. That means I won't go into a coma anytime soon, thank god. There's one less thing on my chest. Okay, I just have to get my sugars under control.

Wish me luck, guys.
