A Laptop Like You.

I've been something of a busy bee since my last post. Since then I've passed my construction course, gotten a job and replaced my laptop. But it's all pretty lengthy, so I'll just section the pieces off so you can read whichever catches your fancy~

Construction Completion.

The course started out with more than twenty of us, but it finished with just eight of us passing. I was one of the first to pass, and one of only two to pass the test on the first try. It was simple enough, mostly about health and safety. What fire extinguisher to use and what to do if you smell methane while digging a hole. You now, simple stuff?
Once I passed my test and handed in the correct forms for them to send into the card people, the course was pretty much over for me. The following week, I got a job.

Cake Factory: Redux.

I'm working at that god forsaken cake factory again this year. The agency I was with last year went into some sort of liquidation, so I'm with the other one. I'm getting a bit more pay and more regular hours, so I'm taking home about a third more this year than I was last. And, without any outstanding debts this time around, I get to keep a lot more of my earnings this time around. I've replaced a few things, bought a large suitcase and even did some Christmas shopping. I got my gran a 26" HD TV with a built in DVD player. I should have everyone else covered by the end of this week, too. Which leaves me with quite a bit of expendable income, which I'm gonna put towards driving lessons and maybe another pirate costume.

Laptop Heaven.

I was finally able to put my decade-old laptop into retirement. With some fancy e-bay work, I was able to snap up a Lenovo ideapad on the cheap. With more than double the RAM and nearly five times the memory, I'm now back at my full internet-browsing power.
I might start posting here once a week. As for my old laptop, I'm going to give him an Egyptian funeral.

Yoji~
