Doctor Who has received three nominations for the Spike Scream Awards.

The series itself is nominated for Best TV Show along with Fringe, Game Of Thrones, True Blood, and The Walking Dead.

Matt Smith has been nominated for Best Science Fiction Actor, and Karen Gillan for Best Science Fiction Actress.

As far as I know, this is the first time Doctor Who has been nominated by an American awards show. All previous awards its been nominated for or won were British. So be sure to cast your votes!

The Scream Awards will air on Spike TV on Tuesday, October 18 at 9 PM ET.
