Season 6 Scheduling Changes and New Novels

In the latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine, Exec. Producer Steven Moffat revealed that there would be some shifting of episodes in the next season. The Episode penned by Mark Gatiss is being moved to the second half of the season, while it's slot will be taken up by a script from new writer Steven Thompson. Thompson is new to Doctor Who, but has previously worked with Moffat on Sherlock, writing the script for the episode "The Blind Banker". This will now run as Episode 3, pushing Neil Gaiman's episode into the fourth slot. Moffat said the changes are purely to balance out the look of the season as the production team was worried there was "not enough outside" in the first half.

In other news, the next batch of New Series Novels featuring the Eleventh Doctor, Amy and Rory are due out in Spring. April 28 sees the release of "Dead of Winter" by James Goss, "The Way Through the Woods" by Una McCormack, and "Hunter's Moon" by Paul Finch, while "Touched By An Angel" by Jonathan Morris, "Paradox Lost" by George Mann, and "Borrowed Time" by Naomi Alderman are to be released on June 23.
