Workity Work Work Worky Worky Work

I have work tonight. Fun? I have no idea which manager is on shift, so, as far as I can tell, not fun.

Anyway, yes. I was gonna tell you about what Bossman Tony offered me at work (God, that sounds so dodgy). Anyone who read yesterday's post over on MyO will already know (ish - I got very confused explaining it all XD).

Right, my Mum (yep, I work at the same place as my Mum) is stock controller (or stocky, counts all the products and stuff. I'll leave it there). Anyway, Area Manager Debbie has decided that all our shops need backup stockies (stock controllers - you following me?).

So, Bossman Tonyn has offered ME position of backup stocky. Meaning, I have to be trained by my MOTHER. And I'll only do the stocky job if Mum ever, like, leaves, or runs away (Bossman suggested that... He confuses me. And everyone else), or is off sick... So I won't do it very often. Just when Mother isn't around to do it.

Why he wants ME to do it, is a mystery. I'm not bright at the best of times. I have too many blonde moments to be allowed, I can be extremely ditzy... Hello? I am the girl who walked into work the one day and asked "where's the warehouse?". (I happen to walk through the warehouse every day to go clock in... Yep. Seriously dumb comment from me).

Then there was the whole "exploding fabric conditioner" thing three weeks ago (MyOisms, can you remember me talking about that?). I lost my shoe under the sweet shelves, I was leaning against a stool, it slipped and I fell over, I've walked into the door numerous times, hit my head on the top of the cigarette shelves (but everyone seems to do that, like, every week someone will hit their head on them)... What else?

Oh, there was the "working-fresh-with-Nat" scenario. We brought out the fresh trolley from the back, and there was some big cartons of apple juice on top... And, er... We turned... And the cartons of apple juice fell off and exploded everywhere. We were laughing our heads off and the manager was like "*raises eyebrow* are you gonna just laugh about it or are you gonna clean that up?".

So, why Bossman Tony wants me to be backup stocky, when I've done all those dumbass things up there... I do not know. Maybe he's... Mad. Well, yeah, he is. He was walking around the shop the one day singing "I'm mad, I'm mad, I'm really really mad". Bear in mind, he is the manager of the whole shop. The poor customers...

That's a point, the customers come in, and if we're all having a giggle fit (it doesn't matter who's on till, whether it's us young 'uns, or the oldies, or whoever, we ALWAYS have giggle fits), the customers are like "you're all mad here", to which reply "well, of course. Have you met our managers? They're even worse".

Andrea (duty manager) was cheerleading the one day. She was just shouting out random letters and doing the actions. Matt (also duty manager) generally takes the mickey out of anyone, everyone and anything, Rich (Team Leader - basically another duty manager) is just mad, and overcomplicates things so everyone gets confused (he does it on purpose), and Bossman Tony... Well... Yeah. I'd like to know where he gets his jokes from. They are mad.

You'd love to work in our shop. You wouldn't stay normal for very long, though. We're actually advertising for new people to come work, because we have a couple of people who have left or are leaving (Nat *sniff*, and June), and so we need new people to do those shifts that they had.

It makes me laugh. So far, all of the people who have handed in or asked for application forms, seem very normal. Frankie, who's only been here for a few weeks, was quite normal in the beginning. Even she's gone a bit mad. Saturday mornings, we're always giggling away. She's a hoot and a half XD

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to go rambling on about work. I just got carried away XD But now you all know what it's really like where I work...
