Coffee and Cigarettes

This is for the Story of a Song challenge.
It's based on the song "Coffee and Cigarettes" by Christofer Drew AKA NeverShoutNever.

It's Friday night, I'm feeling slightly lonely. I check my cell to make sure I haven't missed a call from you. I didn't. I walk into a diner to get some coffee, just to take my mind off of you. It's been forever since I saw your face. I pull out my pack of cigs. I can't even count how many times I've told myself to stop. An hour later, I pay, leave, and sit my butt down on a curb outside the shop. I pull out my guitar and start singing to ease my pain.
As I light this cigarette and smoke the night away, I pray that Saturday will be the day when everything feels okay.
It's starting to get late, and I still don't hear from you. I trudge home in the slush down to my mom's house. Maybe I can find some peace there. I collapse on her couch before she even has time to say hi. When I wake up, it's Saturday afternoon. Time to start all over again. Same place, sit my butt down on that same curb, pull out my guitar, and start strumming.
As I light this cigarette and smoke the night away, I pray that Saturday will be the day when everything feels okay.
Days pass, still no you. Finally it's Friday again. Same old same old. Same Curb Same Song Same Guitar. Tonight I'll have 2 cups of coffee and 2 cigarettes to make it seem like maybe you could be here. Saturday morning comes and I trudge down that same street, but something's different. You're there.
We go to Waffle House, have some Joe, smoke a stoke or two.
Because Coffee and Cigarettes are best when shared with you.
