Seeing as how I haven't talked about it yet I'll talk about it now. I'm not as attached to Aqua, Terra and Ven as I'm attached to Sora, Kairi, Riku, Axel, Roxas,and Xion. I've had friends admit that they've cried while playing these games and I've only cried once. It was about 3 AM I was hopped up on caffeine and replaying through Axel's death. I was really upset when Xion died (until that stupid ice cream line) but... Aqua had a lot of near-death misses and I didn't cry or even felt like I was about to cry. The only physical response this game has pulled out of me, other than laughing and a smile or two, is an adrenaline rush which I got when fighting doing the Braig fight with Aqua. After I had finished that fight my heart was still beating fast and my hands were shaking. I'm not sure if these feeling of attachment will change, they might, but I wonder what it is about these characters that don't garner the same gut reaction many of the previous Kingdom Hearts characters have pulled from me.

• So here we are again at Yen Sid’s tower. And by here again I mean when we were here 11 years in the future and as Aqua how many days in the future. But you get my meaning.
• Mickey comes running out of the tower and… zaps himself away? With a pop?
• HOW DOES NOTHING FAZE THESE CHARACTERS?!
• Fun fact: During long load times I make my eyebrows dance on the black PSP screen.
• Anyhoo Terra… salute/stands for Master Yen Sid who’s all like “Hmm, I’ve been expecting you.” Orly now? But… no we’re not here about the Unversed… wait we are Terra?
• Apparently Terra need to seek the council of someone wiser than himself (HE SHOULD’VE TALKED TO AQUA) and Yen Sid is all like “Pssh, I ain’t no master no longer. I doth that title… DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT DOTH MEANS?!”
• But Terra calls him out, saying he passed his pupil on the way in.
• And Yen Sid is like “Yerp, dat be my homie Mickey. He was looking for smart thinking here too.” (Why have I done this to Yen Sid…?) Apparently Mickey has something that is so powerful he doesn’t know how to use it…? And needs to set things right?
• Anyhoo Terra wants to know about Master Xehanort, who’s missing!, and the masked boy, who controls the Unversed! And… Yen Sid suggests we approach things differently? You mean… not with the blunt end of a keyblade?
• Oh god I hate Yen Sid. He suggests that the Unversed problem and Master Xehanort might be linked and when Terra says that bit out loud in clearer words Yen Sid is like “I MUST NOT MAKE ASSUMPTIONS! YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU MAKE ASSUMPTIONS! U make and ASS out of MPTIONS!”
• So… he says to find Xehanort. And after Terra leaves Yen Sid hints worryingly (ominous is still a better word but I can’t bear to keep using it) that Xehanort’s heart has lead him astray before.
• And… that’s that?
• Nope!
• Terra punts along on his scooter and… XEHANORT HAS MIND-RAPED HIM?! He demands that Terra “come see him at once!”
• So where are we going?!
• What in the hell…
• So… the World is unnamed (not even a flashy little World Title pops up) but we all know where this is: The Keyblade Graveyard.
• Master Xehanort is standing on a cliff and Terra lands and right away confronts him about everything that he’s done.
• Wha-huuuuh?
• He says that “someone had to safe guard the light… from the demon I unleashed.”
• VANITAS?
• Yeap, we’re talking about Vanitas. Who is apparently a “creature of pure darkness.” One of… his own making? OH GOD ARE THEY FATHER AND SON? IS VANITAS A CLONE? D:
• Umm… he came from Ventus?
• Wait… HUH?!
• Vanitas was the darkness that was inside Ven?
• Apparently when Ven was training with Xehanort succumbed to the darkness and the only way to save him was to strip that part away and thus… Vanitas.
• BUT WAIT THAT MAKES NO SENSE! Didn’t Aqua say that they had always lived in the castle? Or did I just assume that? Never doubt my dedication… I’m going into theater mode! Aqua says: “’Cept you’ve always lived here with us.” So… when would this have happened?
• The process damaged Ventus’s heart in the most horrific way… and so he left Ven with Master Eraqus.
• Terra tries to comfort him… oh jeez.
• Terra seems relieved to know that was what Master Xehanort was up to.
• Oh a flash back?
• Master Xehanort comes in with a Dead Eyed Ventus and Aqua wonders if “that boy” is okay. So Terra goes to check it out. He introduces himself but… Ventus is so dead eyed he’s all monotone. Since Ven can talk Terra calls Aqua down so she can say hi, because if Ven couldn’t talk he’d be a freak and they’d have to burn him at the stake or something :< Terra starts to bombard Ven with questions buuuut Ven freaks out. And faints? And Master Eraqus tells them off because Ven can’t remember anything.
• I’m trying to connect bits of information here… so does Ven only think he’s always lived with Aqua and Terra? Since in the flashback they say he can’t remember anything? And all those coma flashback things in Aqua’s story is from after he passed out? When he wakes up… he’s still Dead Eyed and he doesn’t seem to notice Aqua or Terra… maybe it does make sense? But it would seem cruel to lie to Ven about his past, unless they thought it was kinder not to tell him or Master Eraqus ordered them not to tell him about it.
• So… Ven is like Roxas in more than just looks?
• Terra wants to know why Vanitas is “still free” and Master Xehanort is like “Well I tried to keep him in check but he got away, oops.”
• Apparently Vanitas uses the keyblade “to sow seeds of darkness.” And… the Unversed come from him?
• Then Master Xehanort seems to angry when he says that the keyblade “is not his to bear.”
• D: Then he calls my darling Vanitas an abomination beyond hope of salvation. Uh dude, that’s why we love him so much!
• Then he asks Terra to help right his wrong and makes THE BEST CREEPY FACE EVER!
• And Terra seems to buy into it all and says he doesn’t know where to find Vanitas.
• Apparently Vanitas is drawn to the light so that he can destroy it and…
• WOAH!
• Scary! Terra gets a flash of the final battle but Ven and Aqua are… dead?!
• Master Xehanort then says that Vanitas is probably at Radiant Garden so… OFF WE GO!
