Who am I inside?
A laugh... a dream... and something gone again..... Lance found his dreams filled with nothingness. Did I ever dream? Or was it all just....A lost thought.... A belief that maybe I.... The Eagle's eyes snapped open, and he found himself soaring in the air. Wait... flying? Lance turned his head and found that the bat who had helped everyone over the fence was flying him. "You're awake!" the bat girl said aloud. "Can you fly? The humans are coming, and everyone's running!"
"Ya, I can fly," Lance answered back unsure if he was being truthful on this. The bat nodded and released him. For half a second, Lance found himself falling until finally his wings broke open and he began to glide forth. Turning his head, he found that the doctors appeared to be fighting a tiger girl and a snake.
The first instinct was to fly away, yet the second was stronger still. "Keep flying and keep everyone safe!" he said to the girl before turning around and starting back towards the fight.
"Wait!" the bat girl said turning as well, but Lance had already shot off. Turning sharply, the Eagle rushed forwards forming talons instead of hands. Three humans weren't able to react quick enough, and suddenly he slashed them sharply before breaking into the air again.
"Not bad," the tiger girl said aloud. Suddenly a flying dart seemed to be coming straight towards the Eagle. Lance felt his eye grow before he suddenly dodged it and dive bombed the human that had shot it.
Seizing the human up by his arms and starting to fly upwards, Lance found a sudden deep rage in himself. He burst higher and higher into the air using the beat of his own wings to further his stride upwards in the air. The human dropped the dart gun he had been using but was now trying to make the Eagle let go. Yet at the same time, he realized how high up he was.
"Put me down!" the human man yelled aloud. Suddenly Lance broke off and was now all but hovering in the air. "Wait! No don't put me!"
"Bye...." Lance said smirking to himself as he released the human and watched him drop down towards the earth again. He felt cruel and irritated... as though something had worked into him right then and there. I'll kill them all..... A steady dark smirk appeared on Lance's face as he dived straight downwards once more before slashing his talons into yet more humans before breaking into the air again. He attacked three times more times in succession. However, the humans appeared to just keep coming. The tiger along with the snake held up their almost unbreakable wall of defense against the humans, yet the sheer numbers of humans was becoming astounding.
"That's it, I'm out of here!" the tiger girl said aloud before slashing a few more humans and then heading in the direction of the others. "They've got enough time."
"Ya we can't keep this up forever," the snake answered back as he too turned and headed into a steady run. Both were faster than the humans and made distance fast.
Lance said nothing but shot upwards and away from the darts that were once gain being shot at him. He wanted to turn back right then and finished what he had started, yet ... yet.... Seeing that the bat girl was flying just over the other animals as they made their escape, Lance started to beat his wings towards her. Lance looked downwards and found the other animals making their escape as he managed to catch up. "You ok?" the bat girl asked.
"Ya... thanks for getting me out of there," Lance answered back as he continued to fly and was now mimicking the flight pattern. "My name's Lance."
"My name is Yume," the girl answered back. Lance nodded a bit feeling a weird surge running through him. He was usually the laid back sort... yet this feeling in him.....He wanted to go back and fight right then and there, yet he knew that there were too many. The best way to get out was to keep running... or rather flying in this case.
