Betrayal...?

Previous: Revisiting the Past

Zeshin opened the Garganta to the Soul Society. More specifically, right outside the bedroom of the 8th Seat of Squad 10. He made sure to keep his reitsu completely concealed, and wore a hooded cloak to hide from eyes that may recognize him. He could sense the young shinigami inside. He walked up to the window and gently knocked on it.

"Tsukiro, open up. It's your captain," he whispered.

He froze, his hand still on the door. Something inside Tsukiro flipped over. He couldn't tell what. His stomach? His heart? He turned around. The voice repeated itself. It sounded like Captain Hitsugaya. But he was supposed to be on a mission.

He slowly, with shaking bones, walked through his dorm room to the back window. The figure standing there was cloaked and hooded. He couldn't make out his features. His hand clenched around Kotaishi.

"What do you want? Are you really Hitsugaya-taicho?"

With an annoyed look on his face he stared at Tsukiro. "My zanpakuto's name is Hyourinmaru, and best friend is Momo Hinamori. Rangiku irritates the hell out of me, but I wouldn't have any other person as my lieutenant, and if you question me again I'll put you through the worst training of your life!" He replied grumpily.

Zeshin hopped into the window and sat on the window sill. He lowered the hood revealing his arrancar form to Tsukiro, and still made sure to completely hide his spiritual pressure. He saw his subordinate gripping his zanpakuto tightly, "Get your hand off Kotaishi, I'm not going to hurt you!"

"As far as my mission, well it has taken a complicated turn.....I have been sent here to kill you."

Tsukiro blinked several times as his captain hopped through his window. He really could pass for an Arrancar. Even Hyorinmaru looked different. He could only imagine how this was for Hitsugaya, dressing up and acting as the enemy.

"So... When the Head Captain ordered you to be killed on sight for treason... he was really covering for you so you could secretly invade Las Noches as an Arrancar to capture the Seraph..."

Tsukiro stumbled back and fell onto a small couch. "And... you were sent here to kill me." He sighed, then added, "Because I know too much."

He set Kotaishi down beside him and ran his hands through his hair. "Oh, man. I really stuck my nose in some deep stuff this time."

It's your own fault for being so damn perceptive and investigative, the snow leopard chimed in. He whispered at him to shut his muzzle.

"So now what? I don't think Aizen or whoever sent you will be very happy if you return and they find out I'm not dead."

Zeshin slowly drew Hielodragon and looked into the relective blade, "Well, I have been thinking about that. Trying to come up with an idea......." He got up from the window sill and paced around the room holding the blade against his spine. "It's definitely not easy. Maybe you have an idea?"

"Actually, I do."

For the next five minutes, Tsukiro laid his plan out to the captain.

"None of the Arrancar have seen me before. So you should be able to, with some help, create a distraction big enough to get the Espada's attention. While that goes down, I'll get in there and capture the Seraph. It's not foolproof, but if we cover enough bases, it should work to some effect."

Zeshin stopped pacing and faced Tsukiro, "It's a very good plan I must admit. The details are all there. You did very well coming up with it, however, there is just one fatal flaw..."
